First, the writing and fictionalized conversations are stilted and often trite. I am sure this should be on the book shelf of every boy and girl who is determined to learn and explore.Full Disclosure: The author provided me with a copy of Carla and Leo's World of Dance. Some of theother chapters I could not relate to which is fine all ABWs are not alike,but there were also some chapters I did not think were as sharp or funny asother chapters such as angry white women and dealing with our men.The book gave a name to some of the things I have felt or experienced as aBlack woman. Full disclosure, I knew Emil personally years ago. . The book moves slowly, but never too slowly; it explores essential questions that a student should consider, like counterexamples, converses, and the subtle distinctions between different strengths of conditions. This was a good first entry in a new series. The lack of diShe put him in handcuffs, but will he capture her heart?
