Because there was such a close connection between doctrine and death, the criteria employed by the Controversialists to discern true from false martyrs was fidelity to Christian truth.Gregory's book represents an impressive achievement in bringing together the martyrological source material of the Reform era for an extensive analysis. I'd advise anyone who's considering options to get this book and read the trading section thoroughly. My advice if you want to find that same mojo Tracy has- PUT YOUR EXPECTATIONS ON THE SHELF-open the book and open up to exploration. . Pinochet denied permission for Neruda s funeral to be made a public event. Two years later he died in Santiago, Chile, probably a victim of the Pinochet government. He received numerous prestigious awards for his work, including the International Peace Prize in 1950 and the Lenin Peace Prize in 1953. In 1971 he won the Nobel Prize for Literature.

It dazzlingly distills a profound, tender imagination" -- Michael Schmidt "The poems today remain as urgently gorgeous as freshly picked flowers" -- Carol Ann Duffy Daily Telegraph
