The points where this text loses ground to K & R is that it doesn't have the practical application exercises that K & R has and it also doesn't extend the basic networking theory that is covered to modern protocols like K & R.The two Comer books come next. They loved it! Then we bought this book again to other friend's son for his 3rd birthday, again they loved it! So we bought this book again for our own child for its birthday and we do love it!. A few times throughout the book, his expletive language/commentary seemed slightly offensive/unprofessional, yet considering how great this book was; it was just as easy to overlook.TRISTES TROPIQUES: For over three decades Al's had a close friendship with Sir or Lady (SL) who he met in 1982. This is an ideal and entertainingly informative trilogy which is imminently suitable and enthusiastically recommended for family, preschool, daycare, kindergarten, and community library board book collections..
